how many people are having trouble with unwanted redirects when using the yahoo search engine?

Question by everymansmedium: how many people are having trouble with unwanted redirects when using the yahoo search engine?
The unwanted redirects are going to a company that does pay per click advertising. I think that advertising done this way is so negative that it will result with negative results. It will from me anyway. If this was something that I normally would buy, I would stop buying it.
It is causing the yahoo search engine to become usless.
Is there a way to stop these redirect links?

Seems like you’ve got some virus on your computer, run a scan or try system restore to the last time it worked. This shouldn’t happen with yahoo search, see if your google links do it too, or any other website. I’m not really an expert on removing them, but system restore worked for me in the past. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.

It’s pretty straight forward from there, good luck 🙂

I’m having trouble getting a straight answer here. Does SEO actually help generate sales?

Question by z3ro: I’m having trouble getting a straight answer here. Does SEO actually help generate sales?
Please do not beat around the bush. I know the ins and outs of seo and what it does. I would like a straight answer of other small business owners, has seo worked for them in generating sales? Yes or No. Do not say it depends. Just tell me if it worked for your business and what type of business you own. Thank you.
What I mean is, I’ve been working with my seo company for a long time, I understand what they do. The funny thing is, in all my research I can’t find a single company who’s actually making money off it. Sure it sounds good on paper, it even looks amazing to be number one in an awesome category, just as I am. But what company is actually making decent revenue off of it, it’s like NOBODY. I am definitely considering pulling the plug.

PS. Having a kick ass website doesn’t help either, check out mine:

I’ve been number 1 for the keywords “computer repair richardson” for about a year. Has hardly brought in sh*t. Anyone have any non theoretical comments to make?

google search engine optimization

Illustration I used for an article on Duplication Issues. In search engine optimization, there are frequently cases where a site will have many URLs delivering up the same, identical content on the page. This causes search engines to have to choose which page URLs to display, and it results in PageRank getting spread thinner than necessary across a site’s pages, resulting in sometimes lower rankings for those pages in search engine results.
