Dynomighty YouTube video marketing case study

Greg Jarboe, SEO-PR, interviews Terrence Kelleman, founder of Dynomighty Design, about the small company’s success using YouTube as a social media platform to sell Dynomighty products. Terrence describes the first video that Dinomighty ever uploaded, the Dynomighty magnetic bracelet. In three months, the video generated more than 2.7 million views and 0000 in revenue and sales. Next, Terrence brings out the Dynomighty Mighty Wallet, a nifty product made out of the same material used by FedEx in their envelopes. The wallet is completely recyclable. Dynomighty made several Mighty Wallet videos showing their durability and functionality; it is water and tear resistant and completely recyclable. Terrence says video allows you to tell a more in-depth story about your product. Video engages your customers and gives them a deeper understanding about your product as opposed to a still photograph, according to Terrence. Terrence says as a small business, Dynomighty Design was initially overwhelmed by the success of their first video on YouTube. But it changed his company overnight. Video marketing became the number one method of presenting Dynomighty Design products. Terrence says 50% of Dynomighty’s web traffic comes from its videos on YouTube.

MBA CASE STUDY: How Orabrush got into Walmart Orabrush is the first product to go from no sales online or offline, to nationwide retail distribution just using YouTube. When we started Orabrush a couple years ago, we assumed that Walmart would be the LAST store we would make it into. Surprisingly they were the most innovative of all National US chains. This is the story of how it happened. Two years ago seventy five-year-old inventor Dr. Bob teamed up with some college students to try to figure out how to sell his tongue cleaner online. They figured out using YouTube how to effectively sell the Orabrush on the Internet. We sold almost a million of these. But even after tens of thousands of comments on our YouTube channel asking if they could buy Orabrush in major stores, we were still having a hard time getting a hold of major retailers like Wal-Mart. One of the Wal-Mart store managers had seen our videos, became familiar with Orabrush, ordered an Orabrush and used it for several months. After that he wanted to have Orabrush in his stores so he contacted us and said, “Hey, I’d love to carry your tongue cleaner in my store.” Some Wal-Mart managers from other stores were going on a store tour and they went through his Wal-Mart, saw our display and were so impressed by just the display that they all wanted it as well. So within about two or three weeks we had 20 Wal-Mart stores carrying Orabrush. The sales here in Utah were so good that we knew it was time to get in touch with Wal-Mart headquarters to do a

Google Maps SEO – Local Search Marketing Case Study – We look at a case study local organic search optimization. This case study didn’t have a ton of competition for their localized GEO-specific keywords, but many small businesses are like this. This doesn’t mean it’s not a good idea to have great search engine rankings those specific keywords. When people add local modifiers they are usually really close to making a buying decision. There may be less searches for those keywords, but they tend to convert better due the online browsers intent. This way you can have a keyword that only gets 50 searches a month, but those people searching with that specific keyword phrase is ready to buy. As opposed to a broader term that gets tons more search volume but the intent is only for information. An interesting fact, is most people spend the majority of their money within a 20 mile radius and over 80% of people do research on products and services before they buy, therefore it makes really good sense to make sure you local small business is ranking well for it’s GEO-specific keywords. Be sure to leave some comments on your thoughts. If your local business needs help getting better rankings in the search engines then visit us at:
