Question by Jyotish Prakash: Question on web site promotion software: Do you know where I can find this?
My understanding is that web sites that get major hits through the search engine searches are the ones that start moving up into the top positions on the first page of a web search. For example, major hits to a popular site makes it show up on pg. 1 of a Yahoo or Google search. And the less traffic to a page querried on Yahoo, for example, may end up on pg. 25.

So, is my understanding of how this works correct?

So, the software I saw basically would zoom through the internet and search for your site, find it on the search engine, and click on it many times so it looks like the site is getting hits with a lot of traffic. It does this repeatedly, so your site will look like it’s getting constant hits. It will gradually start making it’s way up the list until your page is listed on the first page of, say, Yahoo.

I once saw some sw that would do this, but I can’t find it now, and don’t remember the name. Got any ideas?

Work on your SEO. Ranking in search engines is mainly based on how much websites are linking to your website. The more links, the higher your PageRank. The higher your PageRank, the higher your ranking in search engines.

Many people are not aware that Google will naturally index your web pages without having to ping them. You can Ping all the search engines but this is so often overused that it seldom works in getting you indexed faster.

Link building is against the search engine guidelines and will get your site removed or severely penalized. You will defiantly get caught id you use any kind of automated link building software. You may see an initial boost in rank using such software however, if and when you get caught you will be penalized.
