we don’t have these kinds of ethics statutes in the US that we can be sued under. you probably are looking more along the lines of a copyright or content violation if you even have that kind of complaint.

unless you have sole ownership under copyright of the content on the websites, then you have no complaint to be made and are just another victim of market supply/demand and good old-fashioned American capitalism.

the first rule of business is to get as much business as you can, and to take as much of your competitor’s business away from them as you can.

either make sure your content is copyrighted, or don’t complain when others capitalize on your mistake of not making sure your content was protected under copyright.

Im and S-corp here the US, i have 3 employees in the US, and i hired thru the website “freelancer” a group 6 of employees, to do online web marketing (SEO, PPC Websites etc), my question is: how can i include the money that i paid this employees in Bangladesh since they don’t have a Social security number? the money i have paid to this employees for the year 2011 it was around $ 60,000 roughly, my CPA thinks that i cant include those “expenses or disbursements” since they are not US citizens or because they don’t have a SS number and/or because they are not physically in the US;

Find a new CPA. Yours obviously knows little about taxation.

FWIW, your foreign “employees” are much more likely independent contractors than employees. As such, you deduct what you pay them as contract labor. Assuming that all of the work that the do is done outside the US and they don’t retain any intellectual property rights to their work, you don’t need any documentation other than a statement from each that they are not US persons and not subject to US taxation. That and their foreign addresses is sufficient to keep the IRS happy.

If they do retain intellectual property rights to their work, the income becomes effectively connected to the US and they will pay US income taxes on that income. You’d collect a W8-BEN from each of them and withhold 30% for US taxes and issue them a Form 1042-S documenting what you paid them and what was withheld. They would be responsible for filing their NR series returns themselves, or they could just let the tax withheld ride.

Internet News | LimeWire file sharing site is shut down in the US

Lime Group spokeswoman Tiffany Guarnaccia appeared to acknowledge their defeat “We are out of the file-sharing business, but you can make it known that other aspects of our business remain ongoing” An injunction issued by the US district court in New York has effectively shut down the much loved LimeWire, one of the internet’s biggest file-sharing sites. It ends years and years of wrangling between the privately-owned Lime Group and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The injunction compels Lime Group to disable its searching, downloading, uploading and file trading features. The firm plans to launch new services that adhere to copyright laws soon. Visitors to the LimeWire website see a legal notice that reads: “This is an offical notice that LimeWire is under a court ordered injunction to stop distributing and supporting its file-sharing software.” It adds that “downloading or sharing copyrighted content without authorisation is illegal”. We wish them well, although the authorities are involved in a big crack down on illegal file-sharing. Unfair Trade Law . Can I file lawsuit under this law?

Question by Gina B: Unfair Trade Law . Can I file lawsuit under this law?
I hired an SEO business for my website to help with the rankings. His website stated 6 months and you will be in the top 20 search engines, if not its free until you do. During the six month, I have asked him for reports on what he has done on my site as well as work done off site. After the six months went by I stopped paying the monthly payment. I have yet to see any backlinks created for my website, any off site content, or any rankings in the top search engines. I am in California and his business is in North Dakota. Can I file a lawsuit to get my money bacK?

Yes and you can file it in California, if he wants to defend he will have to do it there and if you win by trial or default it would be up to you to collect it.}{
