And now comes my 2c. More like a buck by the time I'm thru.

"Fad" diets be damned - it really comes down to the portion size and in general watching the # of calories you consume in a day, AND doing tons of cardio  (at least 50 mins. a day IMHO.)

I'm not trying to lose weight but I decided this week to stop snacking at work (hard to do b/c they keep our munchie table stocked up with a weekly grocery delivery complete with M&#38;Ms, trail mix, cashews, and chips).  In addition, to eat smaller portions and eat more slowly.  Overall it adds up to a lower # of calories/day.

On top of this I have done a min. of 55 mins of cardio Tu/Wed/Th this week.

So this morning I weighed myself and it was 5 lbs less than my Monday AM weight.  

So... ????  I guess it works?  (Now I just need to KEEP not eating snacks) ;-)

Oh yeah and get some weight training in there too.  The more lean muscle you build, the more calories your body will need to burn.
