Does a search engine own the searches people perform?

Question by stonerosedesigndotcom: Does a search engine own the searches people perform?
Suppose a person thinks up a name for a new product and searches it to see if anyone else is using it.

Does the search engine now own that search term? (can it make a list of all the non-common search terms that occur every day and perhaps sell it to a company that thinks up new names for products?)

yes, Google in particular are believed to building up a massive data base on its users- it is in bed with the intelligence services particularly the Mossad as they share the same surburb of Tel Aviv.
They’re effectively ‘fingerprinting’ their users – they are also believed to be involved in DNA research which in the long run can be also employed to make everyone online transparent.
