Lean Cuisine, Weight Watchers Smart Ones and Healthy Choice are staples of my lunch diet. Have been for years, as much for economic reasons as dietary -- it's WAY cheaper to brown bag than it is to go out for restaurant food every day.

I've found the frozen entrees are a lot more satisfying than a sandwich (and -- depending on the type of sandwich -- usually about the same, or maybe even less, in calorie count!). I generally add a serving of dairy (cottage cheese, yogurt) for the calcium and to up the protein (keep me from getting so hungry in the middle of the afternoon) and an extra serving of fruit or veggies, just to "round out" the meal.

I've found, as with just about anything, some of the entrees work better than others. It's just a matter of trying the ones that sound interesting. You're probably going to find some that you like a LOT, and some you don't care for at all, and a whole bunch that fall somewhere in the middle. :)

I like the Lean Cuisine Panini. Good hot sandwich when I'd otherwise be tempted to run out for a sub or burger. Just yesterday, one of my workmates was raving about the Lean Cuisine Chophouse Steak Flatbread Melt sandwich (beef, red peppers, onions and blue cheese, heated, on a pita/flatbread). She said it was muy delicioso. There are four flatbread varieties -- I'm planning to give those a try soon.

Check some of the regular Stouffer's stuff, too. A lot of them are pretty hefty on the calorie count, but in some cases, the calorie count isn't that far off from the Lean Cuisines. You'll want to check the other nutritional stuff to make sure it fits with your chosen diet plan, though. But if they work for you, that expands your choices even further.

Yeah, I'm a Lean Cuisine evangelist... ;)

I bought a few of those, but they are still in the freezer. Haven't gotten around to trying one yet. We'll see if I agree. :)

I like the Weight Watchers Smart Ones line of foods too. They've really improved in the past few years.

Lean Cuisine has really good food! I love their little pizzas. I like many of their other dishes as well. But it usually leaves me pretty hungry. So I recommend working towards it if you're used to a lot of calories during the day.

I used to eat them all the time - when I was 30 lbs lighter. Hmmm...I see a correlation. :)
