About
My name is David Wallace and I need to lose some weight. Actually, when Donna Fontenot originally asked me to join other search marketers in fighting fat for charity, I replied, “Who you calling fat, Donna?” But in all seriousness, I definitely needed to shed some pounds picked up from the holidays and so I was all too glad to join the group.
I am CEO and founder of SearchRank, a full service search marketing firm based in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to serving a wide variety of clients, we own and operate the following web sites - Arizona Builders’ Zone, a construction and home improvement resource site related to the state of Arizona, The Jesus Site, a Christian resource site, AnthemLocal, a directory of businesses and resources in Anthem, Arizona (where I live), and Contractors Connection, a national directory of contractors and home improvement companies which we are currently developing out. We also have plans for future internal projects include a social media directory, a Christina ministry directory and a informational/resource site related to the Disneyland resort.
As you can see, I stay pretty busy. Unfortunately, that puts me behind a computer much of my time which is one of the reasons I am fat. When I started this contest, I weighed in at a whopping 241 lbs. The weight I want to ultimately get to is 190 - 200 lbs. I don’t know if I will reach that by the end of this contest (March 31st) but I will get there eventually. You see, I am nearing 41 years of age and it is time to start eating healthier and exercising regularly as I don’t want to be one of those statistics of people who lose their health in their latter years due to not properly taking care of themselves.
So there you have it - a bit of information about myself. Oh, did I mention that I’m going to win this contest? That’s right - I plan on being the biggest loser so that all the donations can go to my charity of choice - The Phoenix Rescue Mission, a family of people who really care about those who are less fortunate — and who also roll up their sleeves to see that the work of caring for these people actually happens. They offer addiction recovery, family and community outreach as well as homeless emergency services. I originally learned about them through our church, Desert Breeze Community Church, as they are one of the charities that DBCC helps to support.
